APAP ArtsForward Reopening Survey now open

In coordination with AMS Planning & Research, APAP has launched the APAP ArtsForward Reopening Survey, a longitudinal study to track fieldwide trends in reopening and resuming programming, booking and touring activities.

The survey aims to capture information on sales, engagement, audience participation and no-show rates, staffing issues, safety protocols and other challenges impacting the field’s safe, vibrant and equitable reopening and recovery.

The resulting report will provide the presenting, touring and booking industry national and regional data to inform decision making as presenters, producers, artists and audiences reconnect, work resumes, tours restart and venues reopen with full attendance capacity.

The study will take place over the next eight months. We are seeking seeking presenters and venue operators as well as agents/managers, producers and artists who are interested in committing to completing a survey like this every other month. (February, April, June and August for presenters/venues; March, May, July and September for agents/managers/producers/artists.) Even if you cannot commit to being part of the study for its full duration, you are encouraged to participate. 

Those who commit to the longitudinal study and successfully complete the series of surveys will qualify your organization for entry into a drawing for one of ten $500 Amazon gift cards or one of ten complimentary conference registrations for the APAP|NYC+ 2023 conference.

Completion of this survey may require coordination between multiple parties in an organization. The survey should only be submitted by one person per organization. The survey should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. View the full survey schedule.
